School of Human Sciences of University of Tsukuba consists of three colleges: College of Education, College of Psychology, and College of Disability Sciences.
These three colleges aims at cultivate human resources as follows.
College of Education: human resources with expert knowledges which are necessary in modern society, such as, (1) human resources who can play active roles as experts of education in various fields, (2) human resources who want to be researchers of pedagogy.
College of Psychology: human resources who can analyze and comprehend human’s mind and actions with wide interest, and can solve practical problems independently and creatively with using achieved knowledges.
College of Disability Sciences: human resources who can understand and explore not only disabilities but also human generally, and have practical skills and abilities for research in order to contribute to creation of society in which all people live together.
Professors of each college take efforts to achieve these goals. We value association of three colleges.
The educational goal of this school is to cultivate human resources who can understand deeply and support developments of people required in modern society. We think that this can be achieved by learning pedagogy, psychology, and sciences of disabilities synthetically.
Classes are conducted with small number of people as a general rule. Students are required to have always own ideas and tell it to teachers and other students clearly.
We give a welcome to whomever have wide interests of human, and society and nature which have relations with human.
