Behavioral Neuroscience Group
P.I.: Yukio Ichitani, Ph.D., Professor, Faculty of Human SciencesThe goal of this research group is to clarify the biological and neural mechanisms of various animal behaviors and psychological functions. We especially focus on the neural mechanism of memory and learning, and for this purpose we carry out behavioral neuroscience and behavioral pharmacology studies using rats. We also evaluate various psychoactive drugs using animal models of psychiatric and psychological diseases.
